Whew. At least I'm not dead to you. I can't figure out what goes wrong in the teaching of punctuation. It should be studied extensively why so much of the population comes out of the public school system having no idea what to do with all those punctuation marks. I guess we should study the people who actually do get it, since that is definitely the minority.
And a wonderful service it is! Seriously, how did plurals get such a bad rap that people just freak out and throw in an apostrophe? It's so sad. I'm all for studying the phenomenon, Bean.
HA! At first I thought you were commenting on this because you love American Idol so much, but then it hit me why it may bug an English Lit major (that is what you were, right?)

I am doing my best to teach my 100 8th graders to never make this mistake. That is my service to my country.

Good memory on my super-useful college degree. It has led me to a lucrative career of making fun of people on my blog. :)
Maybe there's a fourth person with a sign that says voices or smiles.
Dearest Holly, you are endlessly optimistic!
